It's been a long few days for this girl!

Spent Wednesday last week baking up a storm and running from store to store. My pies were 100% from scratch, as well as my cookies and all the other desserts :) Put a pie in the oven around 2:30am on Thanksgiving and nodded off right before I had to take it out. Luckily, someone woke up not long after and I didn't burn the house down. First time I've ever done anything remotely close to that and never again!

 Thursday was spent in the kitchen as well. Cooking dinner for 15, cleaning up dinner, serving dessert, cleaning up dessert and then giving into my turkey coma!

After all that cooking, I told the boys it would be 10 days until I finally got back in the kitchen, so if all that was left was pumpkin and pecan pie and cookies, then that's what they would have to eat. Well, I gave in. Yesterday I did Thanksgiving dinner all over again. Smaller turkey this time, only a 10 pounder, so it wasn't nearly as daunting. Just couldn't stop craving the stuff!

Have a Uhaul adventure happening this week. Helping a family member move their stuff back home, so I'll be sharing that with you as well seeing as this girl will be lugging furniture and possibly driving a big truck. I'm pretty stoked!

Have a shoot on Saturday to help a photography class study the human body. Basically, a bunch of people standing around inspecting me naked. Done it once before. It's actually a lot of fun because they get more uncomfortable than I do. I try and give them a hard time and ask them randomly, "Excuse me, are you staring at my boobs?" Usually breaks the ice.

When I was little, Thanksgiving was always at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Seeing as they have moved quite a few hours away, it has now become a much smaller event every year and it feels less and less like the holidays.

Well, that's going to change this year!

I'm getting everyone together on Thanksgiving and I'm making a huge blowout meal to end all meals! I'm bringing both my family and the future husband's family all together in one spot and going to serve food that I'll spend two days making. I'm so excited to have my parent's house filled with the smell of the pies and cookies I'll be making from scratch and to get up at 6am on Thanksgiving morning just to put the turkey in!

I'm completely one of those girls that gets dressed up for the holidays and will be in the kitchen slaving all day with an apron on. I'm even more excited because I'm going to be bringing people to the Thanksgiving dinner that would otherwise be spending the holiday alone. I would never want to be alone on the holidays, so I don't want to leave anyone out :) Going to have each person tell me about one food item that really makes it Thanksgiving for them and incorporate that into the meal as well.

The night before, I'm going to be staying at my parent's house so that I have plenty of room to bake and make dinner the next day. Plus, it would just be more difficult to make everything here and transport it over there, so I'm going the logical thing. It's been more than three years since I've stayed the night over there, and so I'm sure it will be quite the experience!

Tomorrow, I'll be making sure I have all my supplies ready and packed and then will head that direction to bake all day on Wednesday! Really looking forward to this (if I haven't already mentioned that, lol) Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and I'll try and post updates of the cooking and activities as I go!

-A freshly shaven face or a clean cut neckline and haircut
-Cuddling
-Men's cologne
-Dirty talk
-A good slap on the ass :)

We made it back safe! I fully intended on updating daily while we were down there, but things got pretty crazy. Have lots of fun stuff to share with you though! Have an entertaining video that will be going up tomorrow, but thought I'd share some photos that I took first!

We're here!

Ashley and I safely made it to Tampa last night. This is her second time here and my first. Could definitely feel the moisture in the air when I got here. I flew out of Portland into Phoenix, then to Houston and then finally made it to Tampa. Ashley had gotten in a few hours before I did, so I just met her at the hotel. She had my favorite soda and a large pizza waiting for me. I love her! Lots of traveling yesterday, but that didn't stop us from staying up most of the night finding lots of things on the internet to keep us entertained and laughing our heads off! After all, our bodies are still on Oregon time so our little slumber party lasted until almost 6am.

Currently, it's 74 and sunny with a perfect breeze :) She and I have awhile until our shoots this evening, so we're going to walk around the little shopping centers here. We're going to be shooting in this really nice place that the two photographers we are working with rented, and then stay the night there. I hear really nice things about it and it's very close to the beach. What a way that's going to be to wake up tomorrow! :)

Well Good Morning!

I've now officially been up for an hour. That's about how long it takes me to wake up in order to even get ready. Ordinarily, I wouldn't get up this early, but there is a doctor's appointment to go to. Figured it was probably time to get everything checked out after the hospital stint seeing as I'm flying across the country tomorrow. I've never been to Florida, so I'm actually pretty excited. Ashley promised that we would take a moonlit walk on the beach because I've never gotten to.

The flight is going to be pretty long. Supposed to take off tomorrow morning at 11am, at some point I switch planes in Dallas, Texas, and then around midnight I'll fly into Tampa. It's definitely on my list to bring things that can occupy my time. Took a look at the weather over there lately: 80+ degrees with 50-something percent humidity. Our hair is going to look rather pretty :)

Will be taking photos to share with you guys as well as short video clips. Realized that you've seen a few photos here and there, but want to add some more items to share so you all have more fun stuff to look at and can experience our travels with us! Plus, we didn't over book our schedules so there is a good chance that we will actually have time to do things while we are there. Often people ask about all the things we got to see and do, when the reality is that we just saw the inside of hotel rooms or studios and spent all our waking hours shooting.
